PR525 Multi-Media Content Creation II is a course that builds students’ video content creation skills. From storyboard design and filming style to editing tone, students must follow a specific brief and address the client’s problems through the creation. Let’s check out all of my work!
Interview Video
Students are required to create an interview video to share the story of a classmate. Students have to edit the interview into a storytelling-style video by filming relevant B-roll footage, designing the interview questions, directing the filming tone of the interviewee, and selecting consistent background music to complete the video.
Crisis Video
Crisis videos are also a part of content creation. Students are required to film a video responding to a food crisis. Students were divided into a group of 3, and my role was the video director and editor.
Haribo Gummy Bear Promotional Video
Students were divided into a group of 3, and we had to pick a candy brand to film a promotional video for it during the class period. We are required to find out the problem of the brand and use a story to address the problem. Since it is an in-class assignment, all filming materials are limited. Students have to create an accessible and feasible storyboard to film the video by cooperating with other groups and utilizing the available spaces in the building.
Final Project - Tinder Promotional Video
Students were divided into groups of 2 and had to select a client for an advertising video. Similarly, students have to pick a client, discover its problem, and create a video to tackle it. My partner and I chose Tinder as we want to change the public’s perception that it is a dating app for hookups. Thus, we created a storyboard about how a long-term relationship happened to tell the people it’s about “Connect Beyond the Swipe.”
Final Project - Tinder Bumper Advertisment
Students are required to edit a 15-30 second version from the original video (the video above).
Final Project - Tinder TikTok Advertisment
Students are required to make 2 shorter versions of advertisements. My partner and I chose to make a TikTok Ad as we think it is a channel used mostly by Gen-Z and millennials.
